The Mellanox MCP1600-E003E26 is a 100Gb/s QSFP28 direct-attach copper (DAC) cable designed for InfiniBand EDR and 100G Ethernet applications. It integrates four high-speed copper pairs operating at 25Gb/s per lane, delivering a total bandwidth of 100Gb/s over a 3-meter link. This passive copper solution offers a cost-effective, power-efficient alternative to optical fiber for short-distance interconnects in top-of-rack and adjacent-rack deployments.

Each QSFP28 port incorporates an EEPROM that stores product identification and configuration data, readable by the host system via the I²C management interface (SFF-8636 compliant). The cable is constructed with a LSZH (Low Smoke Zero Halogen) jacket and halogen-free PCB, meeting RoHS and environmental standards for modern data centers.

The MCP1600-E003E26 is fully compatible with Mellanox / NVIDIA ConnectX-4, ConnectX-5, ConnectX-6 adapters, Spectrum and Quantum switches, as well as QSFP28 ports on third-party switches that adhere to SFF-8665 and SFF-8636 specifications. Interoperability has been verified with major switch vendors (Cisco, Arista, Juniper) in 100G-SR4 / CR4 modes.

Confirmed platforms: Mellanox SB7800, SN2700, CS7500; NVIDIA BlueField-2 DPU; generic QSFP28 100G ports.

All cables are 100Gb/s QSFP28, passive copper, EDR InfiniBand. Length tolerance ±25mm (0.5~1.5m) / ±50mm (≥2m).
